Delta Open Air Resort is a brand new parc at Porto Garibaldi on Italy’s Adriatic coast, opening on 22 May 2027 and bookable now with Eurocamp. A path runs through a pine wood to the beach, there’s a 4,000m² water park, a spa and kids’ clubs, so it suits families who want sand and pools in one stay.
Eurocamp emailed the news to its customers on 7 November 2026. We’ve read its park page, the resort’s own site and Eurocamp’s offers page, so here’s what you’d actually be booking, what it costs today and the rules worth knowing before you pay a deposit.

What is Delta Open Air and when does it open?
It’s a big new holiday village on the edge of the Po Delta Park, the wetland where Italy’s longest river meets the sea. Eurocamp lists it as a Village Plus parc, its label for the larger sites with the most going on. The location is via dei Mille in Porto Garibaldi, part of Comacchio in the province of Ferrara.
Its own site says the resort covers 390,000m² with more than 1,250 open air units, from pitches and lodges to garden villas. Eurocamp sells its holiday home accommodation there rather than the resort’s own lodges or villas.

Pools, spa and the beach path

The water park
Eurocamp calls the aqua area one of the biggest and newest water parks on this coast. Here’s what’s in it:
- Two family pools
- A toddler swimming pool
- A family waterslide and a toddler waterslide
- A splash playground in the pool
- A separate splash pad outside it
Outdoor pools can close in poor weather or in low season, which is usually outside July and August.
Wellness for the grown-ups
- Sauna and steam room
- Jacuzzi
- Massages and beauty treatments
- A 2,360m² wellness area, by the resort’s own figures
Getting to the sand
You don’t need the car for the beach. A direct path goes through the pine wood to soft golden sand. The sea here is warm and calm with a gentle slope, which is what you want with small children who’ll spend all day at the water’s edge with a bucket.

What will the children do all week?
Kids’ clubs run in English, German and Italian. Evening entertainment covers everyone with shows, live music and karaoke. By day the team runs sports tournaments.
Toddlers and younger children
- Toddler pool area with its own little slide
- Splash playground and splash pad
- Playground and table football
- Children’s disco in the evening
Teenagers
- The bigger waterslide
- Four sports fields for football and tournaments
- Tennis, padel and volleyball
- Indoor gym, cycle hire and a teen disco
- Canoeing, windsurfing and surfing
- Karting 2 km away
The coast is flat with traffic-free cycle paths, so older children can bike to Porto Garibaldi for an ice cream on their own.
Which holiday home should you book at Delta Open Air?
Eurocamp has four kinds of accommodation here, all with air-con. Prices are for 7 nights from Saturday 22 May 2027 for two adults and two children, per party, read from Eurocamp’s page and checked November 2026. Each was showing about 15% off.
| Holiday home | Bedrooms | Sleeps | Lounge | Air-con units | From |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Comfort, covered decking | 3 | 6 | No | 1 | £591, checked November 2026 |
| Premium, decking | 3 | 6 | Yes | 1 | £652, checked November 2026 |
| Ultimate, outdoor kitchen | 2 | 4 | Yes | 2 | £748, checked November 2026 |
| Premium, decking | 4 | 8 | Yes | 2 | £947, checked November 2026 |
A family of four on a budget gets the most room for the money in the Comfort home. The Ultimate costs more than a three-room Premium yet sleeps fewer people, because you’re paying for the outdoor kitchen and an air-con unit in each bedroom. Two families sharing should look at the four-bed Premium, which works out at under £475 per family for the week (checked November 2026). It’s the one we’d look at first for a group.
Rules on parc that catch people out
- Swimming caps are a must in the pools, so pack one each
- Everyone wears an ID bracelet
- Pool sunloungers cost extra
- Children must be supervised in the pools
- No BBQs, so plan meals around the restaurants, the bars or the hob
- Cars park in set areas, not next to your home
- Extra vehicles are charged
- The barrier is locked from midnight to 7am
- One dog at most, kept on a lead and never left alone
- Tourist tax is shown during booking and may be due on arrival
Is Delta Open Air Resort right for your family?
It fits well if you want a new parc with big pools, a beach you walk to and days out among wildlife rather than more beach.
- Toddlers: gentle water in the toddler pool and the sea
- Teenagers: courts, bikes, a gym and a disco
- Grandparents along for the week: the spa and a quieter Ultimate home
- Nature lovers: lagoons and birdwatching on the doorstep
Think twice if you want a quiet, small site. Eurocamp says it’s set to be Emilia-Romagna’s largest parc. With 1,200 pitches it’ll be busy in August. It’s also a first season. There are no guest reviews yet, so you’re booking on plans and artist pictures rather than photos of the finished place, which some families won’t mind at all for a week of sun.

Days out from Porto Garibaldi

Comacchio and the lagoons
Comacchio is a flat 7 km bike ride away. People call it a little Venice, with pastel houses, canals and the Trepponti, a brick bridge with five staircases. Boats leave the fishing port at Porto Garibaldi for the Valli di Comacchio, a huge lagoon of salt pans and old fishing huts where pink flamingos feed. Take binoculars.

More nature activities during your stay
- The Argine degli Angeli, a path across the middle of the lagoon, on foot or by bike
- Guided nature hikes in the Vene di Bellocchio reserve
- Birdwatching trips into the wetlands
- Kayaking on the calm canals
Ravenna, Ferrara and Mirabilandia
- Ravenna, 36 km: eight UNESCO-listed early Christian monuments with their mosaics, including Galla Placidia’s mausoleum and San Vitale
- Ferrara, 58 km: the moated Castello Estense and streets made for cycling
- Mirabilandia, 50 km: one of Italy’s biggest theme parks, with its own water park
- Horse riding 15 km away, with a golf course at 56 km
Can you do Venice in a day?
Yes, though it’s a long one at 117 km each way.
Getting there from the UK
Most families will fly and hire a car, which Eurocamp recommends here. These are Eurocamp’s distances from the parc:
| From | Distance | Miles (approx) |
|---|---|---|
| Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport | 97 km | 60 |
| Rimini airport | 105 km | 65 |
| Venice Marco Polo Airport | 120 km | 75 |
| Ravenna train station | 38 km | 24 |
| Calais by road | 1,399 km | 870 |
Driving from Calais is too far for one day, so plan an overnight stop and a fortnight’s holiday to make it worth it.
