La Bastide en Ardèche
Canoeing on the beautiful Ardèche River, strolling along your own private beach or exploring the stunning grounds of the Château de Sampzon - La Bastide en Ardèche is a wonderful location with so much to see and do. There’s a large family pool and one for the toddlers, plus a family restaurant and bar.
As well as canoeing and kayaking (you could take a canoe ride to the Pont d’Arc, a natural bridge that you can paddle under), you can enjoy badminton, tennis, football and volleyball or hire a bike and go exploring. There are excursions from the park –wine tasting, horse riding, quad biking – and you could even try your hand at survival camp!
Accommodation ranges from classic camping to safari tents that sleep six people. You really will holiday in style with these luxury tents – they have two spacious bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with fridge and a large decked area with garden furniture and sun loungers.
Ruoms is a lovely place to visit – it’s a walled, medieval town with gorgeous narrow streets, ancient churches and plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. The town holds an annual music festival – the Ardèche Aluna Festival – where people gather to listen to world music and enjoy international food and crafts.
