Camping in Slovenia

This might be one of the smallest European countries, but Slovenia has much to offer by way of  stunning scenery in its beautiful nature reserves and interesting towns and cities.  Make sure to try the local wines like Sipon and Refosk as these are really very good.

camping sobec

Camping Sobec in Lesce, near Lake Bled
This lovely campsite is only 3km from Bled, a beautiful city that is over 1000 years old and comes complete with the well-known lake and characteristic tiny isle.  The site is surrounded on three sides by the waters of the Sava Dolinka river and a small lake where you can swim in safety.  This is excellent canoeing country or you might prefer to explore the lovely countryside on foot.  Situated in the foothills of the Alps, the climate is very pleasant here due to the effect of the nearby Mediterranean.
