The Cote d’Azur region of France runs along south east coast from Bandol to Menton and right up to the Italian border in the east. For some, this area is what France is all about and it is known to be a playground of the rich and famous. It also has arguably the best climate in France and this is partly why it is such a popular holiday destination. Of course the sparkling blue waters and stunning beaches help, as do the glittering resorts of Cannes and St Tropez! Love them or Hate them, the glamorous resorts simply have to be seen and people watching makes excellent entertainment!

The area has an exclusive and sophisticated feel although it can get a little crowded during high season. The stunning coastline is also arguably at its best outside of the scorching summer months and so families tend to visit the area in May, June and September.

Away from the coast just slightly, you will find many market towns and peaceful villages to explore. The historic resort of Frejus to the west is an interesting place to visit with its Roman remains and medieval centre. The resort of Bandol is also worth a visit and is well known for producing fine wines.

There are many holiday parks on The Cote d’Azur including Domaine de la Noguiere which is a vibrant and lively park in a tranquil setting. The site is popular with families and has several children’s clubs to keep the little ones amused. There are also two pools with safe areas for children and a large water slide.

Esterel Holiday Park is a good choice for families looking for top quality facilities and is wonderfully located, giving easy access to the resort of St Raphael which has a stunning beach. The site itself has no less than five swimming pools and also offers a comprehensive programme of activities and entertainment.
